Indeed - thank you very much - I record only stereo, and occasional perform a vocal take - usually for reference (but proper quality is desirable). Thanks - Ill do a quick read-up on the referenced...

So AVID is essentially enabling the pathway for developers, and not necessarily preserving a barrier as was the case with TDM versus RTAS. Therefore there can technically be dismissable difference...

My gosh - I am so happy to find this thread, I have had this issue myself - and I thought it was my system, so I just stopped using PT for the moment. Since I really needed to finish some projects.:-)

I have since aquired the GT103, so far the unit is absolutely flawless. Drive access time is incredible, very silent, and the best part is that the FW400 front port allows me to attach and transfer...
