pros and cons of comp-eq or eq-comp

i would like to hear from seasoned mixer the pros and cons of having the comp before EQ ( as we normally used to ) as oppose to EQ before hitting the comp. Thanks

The comparison you've made is not accurate at all. First, the mic pre in the Control 24 are NOT the Focusrite RED you can get 16 mic pre in the Platinum series for about $ 3000.

Backing up to CD-R is not even an option for me..all my sessions are 2 Gb and bigger. I will try using Ethernet to BK my Pt session to my tape drive.

Has anyone tried using firewire drive...

I just upgraded from a 9600/350 to a G4/400. I paid $ 1300 for a G4/400 and 320 mb of ram, new.
It took me a while to decide to part with my 9600 because it was a reliable set up but i'm glad...

Are you sure ?? i have the USB floppy enabler in the extension and it does not work at all. Actually when the Pace Floppy enabler is present the VST usb disk drive does not see any...

i just upgraded to the G4 and my dealer does not have any Imation super disk left so i wanted to know if the VST usb floppy drive will work....What a LAIN in the butt this is !!
