Even if there are lots of changes, I have success in doing this manually, but I was wondering if there is a way to autoconform a new omf to an older omf....

Sort of like how it's done on an Avid.

Here's one for the pros...Is there an easy work flow to achieve the following..

I receive an embedded omf, and start a sound design/mix. Adding eq, compression, etc. Now the client makes changes...

Is it possible to have a ProTools session that originated from the client as an omf...

then the client recuts the same piece (nothing new....)

supply me with a new omf and have ProTools...

how to embed meta data

I have an audio file (BWV) that needs to have meta data embedded into it. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Am I best to deliver an aiff instead?

Yeah...using ProTools 6.4.1

This is a session that was started on a ProTools PC system, and it's huge... I just finished the film tonight, so tomorrow I'm going to try a new session with 64...

trashing preferences didn't help..

Changing playback engine twice does. Any thoughts?

Truthfully, this is the first time I've user 64 voices. So I can't say that it's happened before. I haven't tried trashing, but I will. It's odd how it fixes itself when changing the playback...

I'm still on PT 6.4, and am doing a fairly large feature length doc. I've noticed when the session first opens (64 voices) the levels are very low. I change the session to 32 voices and the levels...

Looking for that elusive plug-in to remove natural verb

With all the high end plug-ins out there, can anyone suggest a plug- in that would help remove reflections? I do lots of audio clean up for film and DINR is great, but nothing can ever remove verb...

Strangest thing...Until recently I never had this problem, but while a session is playing, if I try and add a fade to a region, it often causes the task window to open and it tells me it couldn't...

It's not hard to do...it's harder to get the supplies out of the units. I've had to recap every power supply I have (2 main units and 3 fader packs). Solves the problem every time. The caps are...

Turns out my PCI bus errors are caused by my Fibre Channel card. When I take large sessions to a Firewire Drive, no problems. I'm using an ATTO Celerity FC-21PS card. Does anyone know of another...

Yes, Mix TDM hardware... Funny, I thought the Fibre Channel could be the issue, but the idea of disconnecting from the shared network here was to tough to consider. I'll do the Firewire test...

Well, any projects that I work on that are anything but feature length have no problem with the additional PCI video card. The video card would choke the system if it was in the expansion chasis,...

I had to replace the capacitors on my power supply. Fixed the same problem.

Not too difficult to do, you just have to find the right caps.
