I'm having the same problem, midi information is correctly recorded (playback is perfect) but there's sustain pedal drop outs while playing a Motu MX4 synth. Very irritating... :(

If you have 6.7 then you can upgrade for free to 6.9.2, which is the PT LE 6. version that works on Tiger. I tested myself this path and worked without problems on 10.4.6 for a couple of months.
