Well, I too had the same issues when finally deciding to take the plunge to 10.4.4 and PT HD 7.1. Like so many of you, I had crashing with Oxford EQ3, and the Waves stuff, which used to load as TDM,...

Something to know about Mac & Firewire formatting

This may be common sense for avid Mac users, but for some who aren't, this may save you a lot of time. I was trying to record on my 002R through my powerbook and a 7200 RPM drive I recently...

Re: Unable to open sessions on firewire drive

Ok, just ran into this, and found out some interesting stuff. It IS absolutely related to the drive format. I'm positive your drive will say msdos format or something of that sort. Now, if you copy...

Re: A FAST way to trim volume automation?

Ok, so we have all these suggestions, but, really for the money they all kinda SUCK!! Why is it for the 12,000 dollars I spent on an HD3 Accel system, Digi can't come up with an edit tool to trim...

Re: more usable CPU horsepower for softsynths

I may be mistaken, but if memory serves, the G5 is a 64 bit system, right now running at half power because there is no 64 bit OS. I thought I read that these systems would not necessarily...

Re: LE and Ivory

Thanks for the comment, but I'm not sure you read my post carefully. It's not a cpu load issue, it's some sort of bug. I mean the system doesn't slow down, or load up, and the disk light doesn't come...

Re: crap firewire on new Macs????

I think that debate is how things get worked out, so I think it's healthy. That said, I don't feel the need to prolong this any further, except to say that I do know the difference between a port and...

Re: crap firewire on new Macs????

Well, JFreak, your loyalty to Apple is commendable to say the least, but, when they advertise a system with a firewire 400 AND firewire 800 port, most people are going to assume they're separate. As...

Re: Magma CB2 and PT 6.7

As suggested by Magma, I decided to install the load resistor. It basically works transparently, and assures the unit powers on correctly. As for the 3rd card, yes it's installed in the 3rd pci slot....
