You can also download it from the App Store and specify a drive to install it on; I have a Catalina install on an external SSD for testing purposes.

Go to the Software Update preference pane; you'll be given the ability to do a full install of Catalina 10.15.2, no need for anything earlier to be installed first.

I'm on a late 2015 iMac; going to download 12.8.3 when I get back in the studio after lunch. I've been sticking with 12.8.1 because of the GUI lag (on 10.12.6).

I would encourage anyone that wants to use non-Avid hardware with external processing, (compressors, EQs, etc) and wants Auxes to be properly compensated for when doing things like parallel...

I'm not getting the fan issue on my 5k iMac, but I am seeing a smattering of -9173 CPU Overload errors in PT that I've never gotten prior to installing EuCon and my S3 yesterday - these are on 44.1...

It regularly craps out with Logic, too. Pretty damn infuriating. Never seems to lose connectivity when I'm running PT, though....

Thanks! Kontakt5 is definitely a common culprit here, too, but the other day it happened with DB33 and I figured it was more than just a Kontakt bug .

I'll give both of your suggestions a go and...

I've had this issue regularly since installing PT11 upon its release and just keep working around it. Here's the poop: I have an Instrument track and on it I place an Avid stock VI or a 3rd party...
