I'm not seeing this behavior. For me in 12.1 HD on 10.10.2 the "write to all enabled" works from the keyboard as expected. Apple+option+\

I haven't noticed an issue with any other "/" commands....

Idk why they didn't start high saying this is this yearly fee and then knock off a percentage if you stay enrolled in the plan consistently. Then it's presented as incentive or a loyalty reward...
