solo safe is for boomers or post sound failures. Nobody who works on real productions wants solo safe.

i've got the exact same issue. Confirmed with not only me but other people pretty deep in the industry/ push pro tools to the absolute limit.

I've seen this a lot when adding or removing drives while pro tools is open. are your drives connected to your computer/ powered on before you boot the computer? Are you daisy chaining an audio...

I found a solution!! It has something to do with either the cached wave files or the elastic audio or both.

Exit out of pro tools

You've got mono tracks that have been recorded at separate times then moved to a stereo track.

split stereo whichever tracks you're having trouble with to mono and you should be good :)

you won't be able to use any plugins on any realtime audio... if you have previously recorded tracks plugins will work fine and dandy.
