30GB Win+PT+recording (wav)

10GB for sampels and other stuff you collect fx. idears (so you can import them easy into PT), or the od picture for the desktop..

The performans of a partitioned harddrive, when using both partitiones at the same time, ie. using a partition on your systemdrive willl be slower than using only the first.

You can get the buffer size down to 1 at normal running, and set it to 0.250 when you record.

When you are working on the mix set it to 2 as mentioned above..

I´ve seen the same thing on our DAW as 2.0 worked with no problem running on another soundcard and PT or LAP on the 001.

3.0 on the other hand seems to be slower and uses a lot more...

I think you are refering to the program SPARK - Mac only - you can do pretty much the same as with the hardware Finalizer, i like my 96K thoug.. - easy to use and don´t take eny CPU-juice..
