Thanks for your replies.

In fact, I created the session at 9AM, the artist came later than expected so we started the recording at 11AM. I saved during the recording lots of time....

I really can't explain what happened.

I don't have that problem anymore.
It only happened with the first versions of PT 11.

After a few dot versions, it worked as expected.

Working like a charm in PT 12.

I realized that for whatever reason the Avid codec PE bundle which contains the codec I needed to be able to play mxf files in Pro...

I've been using mxf video files for some time with PT 11.1.3 when working for one of my client, no problem at all.
Suddenly PT and Quicktime can't open any new or old mxf files anymore....
