that appears to be a completely nonsensical statement. low level "detail" is represented by the less significant bits, on a sample by sample basis.

no, its exceeding full code during d to a converson.
it can clip.
there is actually no sense in creating mixes with unnecessarily low levels, and that has disadvantages.

sharc chips are a newer chip than the motorola chips digidesign has been using.
