are you overclocking video card or CPU?

dont, also check your CPU temp in bios and if something smells burnt in case.

thats right, I replaced one a bit ago.

I'm thinking later on I will solder the wires permanently to the PCB boards and will never have to worry about them shoddy plastic connectors shorting out...

For the most part you're not missing anything but security features with SP2.

I think SP2 is a tad more "overall" responsive than SP1, but this probably because of Visual Studio 7 compiler...

Maybe your right, Ghost might not be copying the entire boot record, whats the error? does it say Missing Operating system or NTLDR missing or just hang there?

Do you have Athlon64 system? try disabling DEP.
right click "My Computer" > properties > Advanced tab > Start up and recovery settings > Edit.

check the registry locations it mentions in the KB article after rebooting to verify your getting the full speed.

Did you forget to set the HD jumpers?

use CS (cable select) on both drives if you have a problem, then connect the master drive to the end of cable.

Either one of them not a huge jump from the A7N8X system, but if I had to choose id be #2 for the new Via chipset and the large 1GB L2 cache on the 64 chip.

I think harness just went out on me after 2 years w/002, what are the symptoms?

heres whats happening, when powering on 002 the display LED shows braille dots and the second power on said...

Barton is not a chipset, its a Core name for the Processor

Well theres a quick way to determine if its the Audigy causing the intermittent problem, simply disable the Creative WDM driver under sound and video controllers in the device manager, your 1394 port...
