Soft Sampler Programs Compatible W/Wave Driver?

Noticed the asio driver doesn't work alongside the wave driver?

Is anybody using any soft sampler programs alongside protools 5.3 on xp?

i just need something that can load soundfonts. not sure...

the protools plugins are nice, they just cover the basics tho.

currently the only optional pack i use is the waves 3.5 gold (all my 5.1 plugs got wiped out when i upgraded to 5.3) and i'm pretty...

u are using low latency monitoring? (operations>low latency monitoring - put a check by it)

when i first installed protools the vocals had latency on them, making it hard to sing/rap. enabled low...

is the digi 001 the only soundcard on your system?

do u have onboard sound disabled on your motherboard (if your motherboard features such a device - mine does it's disabled with a simple jumper)....

i know what he was talking about, but i was suggesting something that wouldn't eat up valuable system recources like a soft sampler/synth would. plus at only $60 it's a bargain.

most 1/4" cables i've seen were mono (ie guitar or instrument cables) u can get them anywhere (guitar center, your local music store, etc).

as far as balanced/unbalanced, just get some balanced...

^ yea i know that. i was looking for something that would arm record and play, and then hit a switch to activate both at the same time (exactly how the 'waiting for midi note to record' function...

wouldn't that use up valuable protools resources?

samplecell is no longer supported but soundfonts are pretty similar, u can cop a soundblaster audigy off pricewatch.com for 60 bucks or less. it...

^ ha, maybe i can find a keyboard splitter cord, buy an extra keyboard with a 10-15 foot cord, mount it in my vocal booth.

cool, it does look like with midi i could accomplish what i need, as there is that paused midi 'waiting to record' button, so now all i need is a midi footswitch that would simply send any type of...

in normal recording mode if i arm a track, and even hit the record button (so that it blinks) i hit the footswitch nothing happens. only way i can seem...
