Thank you! Turns out you were right. I actually had 2 other click tracks. Found them lurking on the Tracks list. Deleted them and that solved the issue.

If your Protools 12 sessions crash upon opening/ try this

Before selecting the file to open, hold down SHIFT. This will deactivate plugins and allow you to find the offending one that causing the crash. At least this works on a mac.

Thanks Ben for that info.

When I go to the clips list and right click on a clip there is a "clear" option. I will see what happens when I select that. If file disappears I'll check the trash.

The subject line says it all. I have utilized the Shift Command U followed by Shift Command B and "Remove" and understand that doing so will not remove from disc, ...

I think I figured it out. There were missing clips that the program was struggling to find. I think that's what has caused the issue.

I created a new file and am importing...

I am recording the notes as midi while playing a keyboard (controller). Have a track set up as midi with Sample tank on the Aux track. Using the assigned channel on the track, same setup as usual.

So.... in general, here's the work around this issue that I've found. Shorten the note's value and the double attack effect disappears. I'm guessing the samples are trying to loop if the value is...
