Regarding losing the midi setup. It happened to me as well. If I remember correctly if you go to the Audio Midi setup in the utilities folder and open it, you will be able to pull up your previous...

I downloaded Itunes 4 and have found that it does not work with the core audio, hopfully there will be an update to the driver.
You can purchase internationally as long as you have a credit card...

I installed ptle 6 and then went to the midi setup... the oo1 was recognized.. I added a new device, a sound canvass 8850 connected to the computer via USB and to the 001 via midi cables in and out....
