Re: Ideas for auto-switching audio between 2 sources

I'd prefer timecode all day long. Did that successfully a few times for this exact scenario and it worked like a charm. The only catch is needing to know start and end times of videos, and getting...

Re: eventide plug ins reaction latency

Might just be a console software thing because I don't have any issues on a Profile or SC48 both running 2.8.+. I use Factory and Reverb without any delays or slowdowns.

Re: Plug-ins cause White Noise randomly...

Very interesting indeed.

I'm more and more concerned about this whole plug-ins bug. I've been considering rolling back to 2.7 but not sure if there are any implications I need to keep in mind...

Re: Plug In/Inserts Interrupting Audio in 2.8.1

I'm certain our troubles are new in 2.8.1. One of my guys makes lots of plug-in changes, moving them around or swapping in and out and we've never seen this behavior before the upgrade.

Re: Plug In/Inserts Interrupting Audio in 2.8.1

Plug In/Inserts Interrupting Audio in 2.8.1

Is anyone else having trouble in 2.8.1 on a Venue system regarding plug-ins, inserts, and interrupting audio? It has been kind of hard to completely nail down but it seems that often times inserting...

No Information Available

Can anyone explain why there are times when you go from one show file to another and the plug-in rack doesn't fully build (runs out of DSP - i.e Yellow exclamation marks) but if you load the show out...

Re: Suggested VENUE plug-ins

I've messed around with a demo of Echo Boy on Venue. Everything worked as expected although I found the screen refresh rate perhaps a bit slower then any other plug-ins in my rack - especially if...

Re: File Managment

Since our console is in a HOW setting, my file organization might differ a tad from what others might find useful. In our corner of the world, we have a handful of folders on our venue for show...

Re: Core audio on SC48 FWx?

Actually the FWx does land in the patchbay (labeled as ProTools). I'm guessing however the FWx operates on the current consoles is how it would function with Core Audio in this case. That's why I'm...

Core audio on SC48 FWx?

Quick question I can't seem to find an answer to here...

On the SC48 (or a Mix Rack system), when I connect a Macbook Pro to the console for ProTools LE with the FWx interface, can you also use...

Re: SC 48 for monitors

Sadly I am certain, unless the feature was added between the pre-release unit I used a few months ago and the final shipping version. Since I use variable groups in our setup, it was one of the...

Re: SC 48 for monitors

If memory serves, sorry - no variable groups. I was disappointed in this one as well because variable groups let you combine stereo and mono subgroups and use single stereo instances of plug-ins on...

Re: Group Spill for those of us on Venue non-sc48

I was fortunate to play with a demo of the SC48 a few weeks ago and glad to finally be able to talk about it! :)

I have a Group Spill question that didn't occur to me until after playing with the...

Re: Aux inbalance

I had a similar problem when we first installed our Venue. Check the dim feature on the talkback. Odds are good that the console talkback is assigned to Aux 1 and you'll find the setting for...

Re: Parallel comp

I think the free version of Maxim (granted its a limiter but regardless) has a wet/dry mix as well.

Re: SPL Transient Designer on Venue?

Same thing happened to me. You need to update the PACE iLok driver for the console and then everything will be happy. Go here, download the Win32 driver, copy to the Windows desktop on your Venue,...

SPL Transient Designer on Venue?

I see the TDM version of this plug-in was recently released. Has anyone tried the demo on Venue yet? The hardware TD is killer so I have high hopes for the plug-in version!

Re: How to take a screenshot from the Venue...?

You might also be able to use the ethernet control to VNC into the console, then take a screenshot on the VNC computer. That way you'd have access to plug ins and operation in the heat of the moment...

Re: Monitor Mixing Flip

You could probably set up events so that when a given PQ is selected, it flips a given aux mix to faders.
