Re: Considering switch to Mac

Why would you continue to drive a 4-cylinder Ford automatic when you could be driving a BMW stickshift?????

It's a Mac. There are no other reasons. Buy it.

Re: Reason MIDI Control of modules

Couldn't you just write the automation in Reason? OR use your controller to record the automation in Reason? Do you HAVE to do it in PT? If so, why?

Re: THIS IS FOR DIGI!!! DIGI 001 and Panther

Supposedly it works just fine with Panther. Many people here have claimed to have had perfectly normal results with the latest PTLE updates for Panther while running a 001. Digi isn't endorsing it...

Re: ALL PRO TOOLS USERS PLEASE READ (and act...)

Re: Is the digi 001 enough???

People are going to argue with this, but if you've got the 001, unless you really think you're going to get a G5 anytime soon, stick with it. I have one and it does everything I need it to do. The...

Re: Garageband sync with Protools

Since you can't Rewire the two together, the only way to do this is to export tracks in GB and then import them into PT. This really isn't a painstaking endeavor, though. Are you out of your Prozac?...

Re: 64 Tracks on PT 7.0

Sorry to get "riled," but more does not always equate with better or best.

If somebody writes a crappy song and records it using 48 tracks, is it "better" than if they'd recorded it using only 32?...

Well said! Use what you have to the best of your ability or buy something else. Then you have nothing to complain about.

Re: Install other apps on my Powerbook?

Macs are built to work with whatever you throw at them. Go for it all and have fun.

And welcome to the the hippest club in town. You'll grow to love your Mac more every day.

Good luck!
