We are. Consolidating a single 3 minute audio track took about, well, 3 minutes.

I then Exported all audio tracks as wav files so I could use a different DAW, 14 files total, and that took 30...

Ok, there seems to be a metering issue. The Audio Track meter doesn't register any movement when the Midi region is triggering the external sampler, it is record enabled. I seem to have got hung up...

I don't know why it was pro tools aggregate I/O, I changed it as per your instructions Daryll, to UAD Apollo Twin, configured PT tracks to proper I/O as well.
