Yes, I thought it odd when you mentioned it was a 3 ring connector hence me saying it was a TRRS. I just assumed your AT headphones had a mic attached to them.

It’s just a TRRS 3.5mm cable.

But, the AT headphones have a ‘twist and lock’ mechanism when the cord connects to the ear cup.

TRS is balanced. TS is unbalanced.

You’re thinking of TRS unbalanced stereo like a headphone cable.
