Trashing the prefs seems to have made a big difference. Only one crash since doing that. Thank you for the help!

I should also mention that only Pro Tools Studio is crashing. All of my other software seems to be working just fine these days. The old version that I upgraded was 2021.7.

I upgraded to 2021.10 and I'm still experiencing the same problem. :(
It's a little bit better in that I tend to get about 30 seconds instead of 20 before it hangs for 10-or-so seconds.

I just bought the upgrade using the sale that Avid has going on. I'm sure that the upgrade won't hurt me, regardless. I'll let you know if my issue is resolved once I get it installed.

I actually have a 600Gb C drive (on an expansion card), the 4Tb hard drive is for files. And I'm using Pro Tools 12.5, specifically.

One of the most frustrating limitations of PT|First has got to be the fact that you could only have 3 projects on the go at a time (unless you pay to remove that barrier, which I did.) A close second...
