Re: Unnecessary space at the end of Pro Tools Session

When zoomed in, it very much hurts your ability to scroll back and forth using the bottom slider. In my case, if the song is 5 minutes long then there is another 935 minutes of the timeline. This...

Unnecessary space at the end of Pro Tools Session

It's not automation.

Why won't Pro Tools allow the removal of extra space at the end of the session?

Pro Tools automatically creates a timeline that is 940 minutes long when I make a new track...

Re: Can’t use TB-3 frustration... the search for an alternative

Just to clarify, I have an Apogee Duet 2 USB. As luck would have it, it’s the one unit Apogee wrote Windows drivers for, so I didn’t have to immediately purchase a new interface when I built my new...

Re: Can’t use TB-3 frustration... the search for an alternative

I'm currently running Pro Tools 2021 with an Apogee Duet 2 (44.1kHz - max capable) and HW buffer size of 32 samples. I recently bought a new computer (as you know) and would like to upgrade from a 5+...

Re: Can’t use TB-3 frustration... the search for an alternative

Respectfully, my PC is being used for more than one purpose and my goal in coming to this forum was to find suggestions for something that works with the connections I have available (PCIe & USB-C)....

Re: Can’t use TB-3 frustration... the search for an alternative

I’ll have to do some research/measurements/optimization. This rig is powerful because it was originally built to run PC games. Had I known about TB-3 compatibility, I would have been more selective...

Re: Can’t use TB-3 frustration... the search for an alternative

To elaborate, I am tracking/overdubbing everything myself - drums, bass, guitar, vocals - which is why I am opting for the lowest latency possible. I don’t require any special I/O capabilities. I...

Can’t use TB-3 frustration... the search for an alternative

I’ve been researching interfaces and converters in attempts to find a low latency solution that does not use thunderbolt 3 as my computer is not compatible. However, my computer does have an open...

Re: Anyone wanna chat guitar tone?

I bought a 2008-2012 era Les Paul standard years ago. Sold the guitar pretty much immediately on account of the burst buckers. Impossible to get any sort of clean tone. Those pick ups always had a...

Re: Lynx Aurora (n) USB2.0 vs DigiLink

I don’t have a lot of outboard gear at the moment. Any new purchases will likely be in the form of pre/eqs or channel strips. Hardware inserts would be something I might consider in the distant...

Pro Tools auto-naming Aux channels in Sends A-E

I deleted an Aux named "Reverb."

I made a new Aux channel and named it "Reverb."

Pro Tools automatically named the new channel "Reverb.1" in the Sends A-E menu.

This is extremely...

Re: Is there a way to insert an outboard channel strip so that I may dial in settings

That’s good to know! The pre section can definitely impart a lot of color and it would be nice to have a way to experiment with that. In the mean, since I don’t have an attenuator, I’m stuck with...
