did read it pal...............this old laptop renders the word 'here' to almost the same color as the other text. thanks for pointing it out, I'm not sure I would ever have noticed the difference.

I'm running 002 with PTLE7.0 and the meters and counters are 'jittery' for me as well. I'd like to apply this hotfix but I don't know how to get it. Can you point me in the right direction?

I did the tasks recommended in the thread you gave. There may be some improvement but it is hard to tell. The level metering is definitely not as smooth as on my 001 and the bar/beat clock...
