Syncing 2 macs?

Hey all, hoping someone has a straight forward answer or work around.
I'm wondering if it is at all possible to link, sync or network 2 macs together so that I can use the firewire busses on both...

Ok, just wanted to report back to all who helped on this and for anyone else having clocking issues.
I have now managed to get the Isa 1, the 003 rack and the eleven rack to play ball and sync...

Well, just checked the manual and worked it one simple step at time. Checking sample rates, masters/slaves through out my little set up.
Unfortunatley the eleven rack just does not see the master...

Yes I have used the same cable to test everything. Its a high quality cable and its fine and works on everything else. I haven't read page 70 but i will now and let you know if its solved or not...

Thanks for your replys here guys. O.k, clock arrived this morning. I wanted to try an external clock as I think that maybe the reason Im getting tons of clicks and pops since I got the 003.

Ok. gone through a Hd disk repair on the mac, Updated to PT8.0.4, checked and changed the record allocation (and changed it back again to 'use all') Still same problem. Getting 10 seconds of audio...

Thanks, Im just downloading the 8.0.4 update so when that's finished I will check these things!. Yes it did happen after the Roland episode and I do already know that the recording drive is about 70%...

The recorded level looks fine on the meters but even with the fader pushed into the red the playback is very low. For tracking monitoring I am taking a feed from the headphone out of the eleven rack...

Thanks, I'll see what I can do. The level into the Saphire pre amp is great and the level showing out into the pro tools recording track is fine. Just very low once recorded and played back.

hello, new to pro tools can some one help? I am having a problem recording vocals. I have grouped all the instrument tracks and set at about -6 output. Whilst tracking the vocal I can hear it...
