Unfortunately, this problem came back again tonight for some strange reason....
I did what you suggested but it hasn't helped.

somehow, this problem seems to have fixed itself and PTLE opens up fine now.

I just upgraded to OS X Panther, but still use OS 9 for PTLE 5.1.1.

When I boot into OS 9, I can no longer start PTLE. I get this "Unable to load DAE Deck" error.

I think the qualification was that the HD be formatted with the + extension.
Anyone know if this is correct?

This is great news! All I have to do is install OS X from a CD and it will still preserve OS 9, all my programs, etc?

Great! I only need OS 9 for PTLE 5.1 anyway, and I can live with using to OS...

RTAS plugins

I have a Mac OS9 and a WinXP machine. Are the RTAS plugins different for Mac & Windows, or can you use them on both platforms, providing the 001 & PT are running fine.

I'm using an old MOTU MidiExpress XT.
It's the parallel model, not USB.

I have it hooked up simultaneously to my pc and my mac, and this is great cause i have a lot of software synths for my pc...

i keep getting a Type 2 error whenever I try to launch a session now. PT LE starts, but if I try to open a session I get the error and a crash.

it's a matter of inputs.
if you ever want to mic a drum kit, you'll need more inputs then the mbox has

if you want to record a live band, with each instrument on separate tracks, you'll need more...

i enabled the window that lets you monitor system performance, and there are certain trouble spots of my song. every few seconds, the system gauge goes all the way to yellow, and the song...

i import quicktimes into my sessions, score the film, and bounce a quicktime to disc.

the quicktimes i make work fine on macs, but they don't work...
