Re: Bounce to Disk at half speed?

Why not just pitch down/time expand the track? Just open up the Digidesign Pitch audiosuite plugin, set the ratio to .5:1, turn off time correction (so that lowering the pitch will double the length...

Re: Sampletank crashes Pro Tools

Hi. Yeah, well to the wonderful world of IK Multimedia and Sampletank. It's a very buggy piece of software. It took me a long time to get it working.

You need to post your system specs (Mac,...

Re: Kantos?? Sampletank??? or Mach 5???

Squidz,

I stand by my comments 100%. I said "some" of the sounds are good, which they are, but many are not, and that is a fact. Also, if you are one of the people doing the sound design, then I...

Re: Kantos?? Sampletank??? or Mach 5???

Don't buy SampleTank. It's extremely buggy, it routinely fails to open almost all of my SampleCell banks & instruments (I have an extensive sample library with literally thousands of SampleCell banks...

Re: Why kick disappears in the mix?

My suggestion to use the Digi 1-band on every channel was just to demonstrate the point. I usually use McDSP Filterbank - the F3 hi-pass.

The Sony Oxford also sounds great, but it sucks up a lot...

Re: Why kick disappears in the mix?

Ignore any and all posts that say you need to buy "Nuendo". Those people are clueless.

Try the following. It's an extreme example which will allow you to very clearly hear what is going on.

Put...

Re: Bring back the Lexiverb!

Same story here -- no Lexiverb on HD or PT6 is a real drag. It would be great to see Lexicon or Digi update it.

Altiverb sounds amazing -- but using it is ridiculous. The choice: a ridiculously...

Re: PT 6.0.1 MAXED OUT BUG!

Do you have an HD rig?

I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be a bad HD process card. Whenever one of my sessions got big enough that something got allocated to my 4th HD card, everything...

Re: MID SIDE Tecniques for Mastering

It's pretty easy to do this.

Say you've got a 2 channel stereo mix on a stereo audio track.

Put a Waves S1 MS Matrix on the first insert.
Set the input on the plugin to L/R, and the output to...

Re: HD Nightmare !!

Burlap over the ears? Do you mean attenuated top end?

Is the de-emphasis turned on on the AD8000? There's a dip switch for that. If you have de-emphasis activated on the AD8000, it obviously rolls...

Make sure processor cycling is off.
Make sure the thing about turning off inactive PC cards is off.
Make sure sleep is set to never....

Re: How do I change tempo w/out changing midi

How about this:

Save a copy of your existing session which has the MIDI tracks the way you want them.
