If you are seeing "garbage" (random dots, etc.) on your 002's scribble strips when powering it up, you need to contact Digidesign Customer Service for a repair/replacement.

An Mbox ASIO driver will be released when PT LE for Mbox is released (coming soon).

Also, an ASIO driver for XP will be released for the AM3, 001, 002, and all the TDM hardware.

Digi is still waiting on Apple for a new logic board to confirm the fix. We hacked up some hardware on our end to "simulate" the fix that will be on the new & improved logic...

If you have the "hang" problem with your 001 and the new G4, you need your computer fixed. It's a motherboard problem.

Blue/White G3 machines and non-AGP G4 machines have the Texas Instruments "Lynx" chip for their Firewire controller. This firewire chipset is incompatible with the Digi 002.

Fader resolution is 10-bit (1024 steps).

Not sure about the fader cap swap. I'd call Digi Customer Service (or perhaps Pre-Sales) and inquire.
