You can install everything, but you won't be able to open anything till you get the converters..you can install everything without the HDX card installed and open a session to make sure all went...

The Studer A800 was giving me 9172 errors and making my session cpu spike. I haven't had any issues since i stopped putting it on my chain.

Do you use UAD plugs? The Studer was giving me the errors i recently found..no errors since i haven't put it on my chain.

It didn't. My HD Native system has been rendered useless..90% CPU spikes on the most modest sessions. Now, nothing i change in the setting will ever get me past an error like before..HD native truly...

I have also done what you suggested, but it still doesn't allow me to select 1-2 as hardware inserts..

Im thinking of just getting a legacy interface off ebay..i have looked into the Lynx etc, but...

You are right. I had purchased a firewire sat box and you cannot track with those versions. The buffer has to be at 512..so i returned it and got another PCI quad instead..I never track with the UA...

You are correct. I noticed that right when i posted and have it set correctly now. Im read through it all and my UAD should be ok for now..

I noticed this problem right after i updated to UA driver v6.3 with that new Sonnox plug added..i havent been...

And i have never selected Surround to mix in any of my session owning the system..but also, nothing changed about the sound or performance, i still get the crazy amount of cpu usage on a 10 track...

Ok, will try it out..so far i have noticed that i have been using the surround mixer, not the stereo, which is the only way i mix..no 5.1 setup so i imagine this may help with some processing other...

If you have an Mac Pro that has hyper-threading (2009+), you can disable hyper-threading by using Xcode, which is a free program with snow leopard..I have been getting the details on what code to...

Thanks for the help. i tried out what you suggested but i still cant select channel 1 or 2 for inserts. When i look at the Main Tab, i still have Monitor 1-2 for channel output 1-2..Is there anyway...
