Digi core switches from 44.1 to 48 when launching iTunes

Every time I launch iTunes or Quicktime my digi core audio automatically switches to 48 sample rate and my digi 002 blinks the 44.1 sample rate light.
I manually go into the digi core application...

Thanks for the help I think this may have worked. The only problem I still have is the song is played at the same speed yet it's about a half octave lower. Its like we played the whole song in D or C...

Have you tried to save session copy in? If not, open your session then go to file where you would select save as. Right under there it should have save copy in. Open that and a box should appear...

My problem is every now and again when I'm recording or playing back a recording my system stops all of a sudden and a box pops up saying "held interrupts for too long increase H/W buffer size...
