Being able to use the newest version of ptle with all its new plugins etc etc.
The 002 and 002r have better ad/da and pre's as the 001 has.

Using the inserts will put the RNC between the preamps of the mbox and the converters...

Select a bit before and a bot after the punch in. A crossfade needs 2 regions as where a fade in/out needs only one. Makes perfect sense if you think about it.

Because it has the delay in it. The delay you are experiencing is the hardware buffer size delay wich dep[ends on the delay you set yourself. To avoid those problems its easier to remove the audio...

Why not simply lift out the unwanted audio? (As in highlighting and deleting it in any other mode as shuffle mode)
You can trim it back whenever you need it.

I assume you save your session before you close it.....
I never came across this problem, except with a version of IK Multimedia's amplitube, but that was a bug of the plugin...

install the wavedriver. I believe you can do that through the "add or remove software" on your control panel. Choose Digidesign Protools and choose for change and then modify. Check the wave-driver,...

with 2 computers....probably. But keep in mind that the HD24 is not ptle compatible, so you have to record in a different application. After recording is done you could mix in protools provided you...

You recorded something with an external clock, but the clcok and the protools session didnt match samplerates. Now with mixing you have turned off the external cloocking and are experiencing this.

The command|8 is only a control-surface. So you need to run a cable from the monitor-out from your 002(r) to the command|8 in addition to the midicable or usbcable.

You must CTRL-click for that (i think). But maybe you had CTRL-click assigned to your right-click....if all this still makes sense....hehe
