to disable video card go to device manager click on displayadapters and click disable. then restart.

well, your resolution is lower. however it does eliminate the poping sound. i have also confirmed this on another dell laptop.

Hey guys!! I have been trouble shooting this for a while.. Its in the update for your video card in windows 7.. Go to device manager click on display adapters and disable your card, then restart....

Hello, try disabling the power magnagement to the usb hubs in device manager. Under system properties under computer in start menu... This could help. Have read about this.
