Many Region from bin to One track?

Is there any kind of command in Pro Tools that will let you grab many regions from the bin and put them in ONE TRACK in alpha-numeric order?

Re: Avid Duet USB must be re-plugged to get it working

Yeah, I should disable sleep, but it's rarely a problem.

PT Apogee Duet Touchpad Display

Can't figure out how to delete this post— so I am sorry it is still here.

There are apparently instructions for the Quartet in the Duet user manual.

Re: Avid Duet USB must be re-plugged to get it working

I got a more rugged USB cable than the one that came with the PT Duet, and now I can leave it plugged in when I start up my studio Mac.

Mine still needs to be replugged if the machine goes to...

Re: New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

Happy ending: I got the i7 2.6GHz Mac Mini with the flash drive on ebay, and the dealer who sold me the new Mac mini will resell it for me.

so-- Yay!

Re: New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

I do mostly VO— that's the daily bread stuff. But I do want a machine that can handle heavy lifting because I eventually want to get back into making movies and who knows what else.

Thanks...

Re: New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

Here's another of my endless questions. I'm seeing i7 Minis on Ebay with a 2.6GHz processor– are those off the table?
The 2.3GHz is the only one listed aa a qualified machine.

This one has a...

Re: New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies.
I bought this Mac Mini without even imagining that it wouldn't be fab because it's "new".

Do I need to be careful about the kind of external drive I get?...

Re: New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

Yeah, pretty plain recording.

...and I'd love to try out PT 11, but I don't have a 2nd gen iLok.
I'm upgrading from PT LE 6.9.2 with an Mbox1.

Thanks!

Re: New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

This is 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5.

I don't know why Apple isn't making the i7's any more. Boo.

And I'm not producing symphonies— I occasionally multitrack projects, but for the most part...

New Mac Mini i5— Will it work?

Will any version of Pro Tools work on a new Mac Mini? I looked at the compatibility chart, and only the 2012 i7 is listed.

This Mini has 16 GB of RAM.

Thumbs up Re: Gathering regions after strip silence

Thank you for this! It is a bit of a "DUR" but I'd never have come up with it myself.

The way you explained it makes it SO EASY. Thank you.

Gathering regions after strip silence

Please forgive me if this is a duh-simpleton question— after I do a strip silence in Pro Tools, is there a way for me to gather the regions together to get rid of the empty space?

Re: Command to Find Zero-Crossings for Edits?

Thanks, very much! This is more than a bit of a drag when doing edits with speech.

Command to Find Zero-Crossings for Edits?

Does Pro Tools have a "snap" or other kind of command that makes the edit line go to the zero crossing of the wave form?

Re: USB Squeal when using an extra vid monitor

Today I got rid of the 2Khz whine in my audio chain.

All I needed to do was "lift" the power plug for the LCD monitor. I just used one of those three-to-two prong adapters and poof!

No More...

I have tried using different circuits for all my audio stuff, the same circuit for all my audio...

Re: USB Squeal when using an extra vid monitor

I've looked all over the net for the cause, and the general consensus seems to liken the whine to a 60-cycle ground hum— like it's the digital equivalent of a ground loop. The damnable thing is that...

USB Squeal when using an extra vid monitor

I'm going to clone my laptop's drive and then try to do the update.

Re: Will LE 6.9.2 work under updated Mac OS?

The compatibility charts just say PTLE 6.9.2 is fine with Mac OS 10.4.
It doesn't say how high in 10.4 you can go and be fine.

I won't be putting Leopard on this machine.

I just wondered...

Everything is spiffy leaving my Mackie, going INTO the Mbox.

The Left channel apparently...
