I guess i have checked all my computer parts, what i cant check is the motherboard and i suppose it is fine cuz if there is a problem with the motherboard then many other peripherals also would not...

Yes u are quite right but the other way round it goes the 002/003 are the ones which do need a firewire card not the mbox 2 pros. however exceptions are there cuz some people are using 002/003...

Guys as recommended by you all i got a Firewire card, i could not find the card from SIIG so i got a ADS PYRO PCI 64R2, i would be now installing it

I too had this problem, what i did was to defrag all of my drive and especially the audio drive....and it solved the problem....
stick with NTFS for your audio work...
