you cannot record audio on a MIDI track. Try a program like recycle to splice your loop (or splice it in PT in Grid Mode) and change the sounds or use Sound Replacer.

I don't need to place the mic upside-down? I was doing this to avoid the heat from the tube possibly damaging the diaphragm. Or is that a myth... I know I read this technique in a magazine somewhere.

Has anyone exp sibilance probs w the NTK and a male singer.

I own Roalnd, Korg Triton, and Yamaha Motif. Guess which one's my go-to synth, Roland (XP 80). I suggest you try the new Roland Fantom. I must say that the Motif sounds are very good, much better...
