well I just finished a 90 min TV movie -usually do 1 a month. - I'm guessing around 100- 150 active tracks, mostly ok. just had to reset the prefs say once a day then after that it would often...

havent suffered today. since I switched the drive to be USB back of the computer rather than a hub - ( hub had a few slower devices on Ilok keyboard etc )

its a seagate USB 3 it was on a hub ( i have 2 more identical drives being backed up to ) I've switched it to being directly on the mac mini, lets see how that progresses.

The sessions are residing on a USB drive, but obviously the drive is mounted.

I do have networked drives, but this happens radomly and the sessions are...

I'm T -Tap too, but finding using the AVE untenable with it, laggy, out of sync playback etc

Its generally ok using Video Sync 5 tho -

i get these types of message quite often. But usually for bounces with video.. usually goes away if I quite and relaunch PT.

if it doesnt then I use the Peter Gates PT pref app and delete then...

the protools ulitmate rewrap is good - feels very much like the bounce to Quicktime I was using in Protools 11

AVE still giving issues tho, almost makes me want to go back to Video Sync Pro.

disk cache was set at normal - yes I usually use a sec pre and post roll.

I just upped it to 9 gig. system usage said 1%. ( I got 32 Gig RAM now )

only 164 voices used and 96 mins duration...

playback drive is seperate to the project drive..

its SSD as well

have trashed the prefs with the PT prefs app. and also used the go function...

No entry in the logs - the crash reporter also freezes..

just a workflow I am comfortable in.

record out Mix 5.1 + D M E M+E also doing Stereo folds at the same time.

10 lots of stems - thats a lot bouncing

and I dont usually have 200 points...

Realise now the crash seems to occur if I rapidly do the exact same punch again.

can any one verify this please.. make a recording...
