Resurrecting this thread because as you all know Core Audio hasn't worked with Avid's flagship interfaces for over two years. I'm trying to figure out a work around but nothing comes easy with this...

Especially with the utter shame that is Avid's Core Audio Driver at the moment. Pay over $5000 for "Pro" gear that has broken drivers. I tell you, it's hard being an Avid customer sometimes.

HD Omni is a great sounding interface with the worst flexibility I have ever seen. Don't buy it if you intend to do analog summing, Dangerous Music does not recommend it for it's bonehead crippling. ...

The way Avid gets that low latency performance with Pro Tools is by not using Core Audio at all when in Pro Tools.

Well said indeed. I did more research and when you start looking at monitoring etc it really does start to get expensive with third party options.

That's a great idea. I just wrote a post about how digi needs to be more innovative when it comes to loop management. Even something within the workspace would be really useful. It' such a big part...
