Thanks, but I think this is all pre PT 11 information. The Digidesign folder in Application Support references pre AAX plugins. The database folder under Avid application support is already empty.

Well, that's what's weird to me. Apparently you don't need to be in 64 bit mode to run 64 bit apps. My Mac Pro 1,1 is definitely not booting into 64 bit mode, it can't because of the 32 bit EFI, yet...

OK, I guess I am pretty ignorant about this. What limitations does the 32 bit EFI impose on PT 11? Or are the limitations applicable to Mountain Lion which is not as necessary as Avid might imply?

P,B,S, might be confused by I'm not. It's working in a 32 bit environment where it's not supposed to be. A Mac 1,1 can run Mountain Lion, but you have to jump through significant hoops, which I'm not...
