Lost a Profile 2 shows in a row....

I've got a profile out on tour, and it's died the last 2 nights during the headliner.

Last night I thought it was a snake issue as someone had pulled the backup pair out of the stage rack. Until...

Re: How to change meter multiple times during song

Is the little conductor dude in your transport lit up or not?

PT only follows tempo/meter changes if he is.

Sound Replacer and Leopard?

Is anyone having any issues using Sound Replacer in Leopard?

I used it for the first time since I updated today and at first it wouldn't let me change the threshold for my sample, and after...

Re: WHEN IS LEOPARD SUPPORT COMING?!?!

I had to upgrade to Leopard for work. I currently make my living in the live side of the business and needed XP for show control apps and smaart, so I wanted to use the native bootcamp that comes...

Re: A little help for a mac user in the windows world?

Not the answer I want, but if I hear it from a few people I'll stop tearing my hair out and go grab something cheap that will work.

What's pissing me off is, I can see the input in one setup...

A little help for a mac user in the windows world?

I'm trying to get my mBox 2 to play with smaart in a windows environment, either native on a Toshiba or under virtualisation on my MacBook, and I can't get them to work together.

Using Parallels,...

Re: Has anyone tried an mBox 2 with Parallels Desktop?

Damn, that's what I figured.

Have you tried bootcamp instead?

Has anyone tried an mBox 2 with Parallels Desktop?

I know that begs the question why, but I'm know doing a lot more live work. All the control programs for the PA are wintel, and the company versions of Smaart or all PC (it's V5), so I need to run...

Re: mBox 2 and Core Audio Noise

These steps all seem to be related to Pro Tools performance and not Core Audio, is that correct?

I don't have PT installed on the mini, and when using PT on my MB Pro, I don't get this issue.

mBox 2 and Core Audio Noise

After a certain amount of time, the outputs of my mBox 2 get noisy. It sounds like jitter, and somewhat follows the audio.

This happens when it's connected to either my 2.33GHz MacBook Pro or my...

TrooTrace?

I'm needing analyser software to add to my rig, and wondering if Trootrace is recommended by anyone instead of Smaart?

I do both live and recording work, and already have an MB Pro and an mBox,...

Re: Cue Monitoring

I always had a set of cans plugged into the front of the D-Command.

But I'd rather have had it come up on the monitors.

Re: D-command frustrations, anyone else?

For your first frustration, hit the cycle button on the EQ section after you assign an EQ.

It should bring it up in the EQ section then, without having to re-focus the channel you want.

For...

Re: Rackmounting a Mac Pro

None at all. They even recommend it.

It's more the way they secure the mac into the frame, doesn't look that strong if the flightcase is being tipped onto it's side or moved about or whatever.

Re: Rackmounting a Mac Pro

Would the tray from the isobox work in another case? The site seeme to indicate so. How do you think it would handle life on the road if it did?

Re: Rackmounting a Mac Pro

To follow that up, I'd originally thought of having 2 cases, but then changed my mind and was leaning towards one with a marathon mount in it.

I'm now leaning back the other way as having a...

Re: Frontier AlphaTrack

I had a look back through the posts to see if there was anything. Nothing there.

I've never found the search function on here that great, but have got some results I'll check out.

Thanks.

Frontier AlphaTrack

Has anyone got or used one of these? I'm kind of interested in one.

I'm striking out on my own, buying an HD rig, etc, but I think I'm going to miss having a control surface with faders, etc too...

Thanks Mike, I haven't had that second problem you're talking about. Well, unless I'm not using auto-talkback and forget to push the button.

I haven't noticed the first problem before, and it...

Auto-Talkback Dim Release Time

I've been getting lazy and using auto-talkback recently, but was getting confused by it a little yesterday.

Was tracking accoustic guitar and vocal, played to a click track. Pretty standard...

Re: D Command Owners - Happy?

I didn't fork out the money for it, but I'm extremely happy my boss did.

And, after 15 months, he stil hasn't taught me how to use the damn thing, so I've been learning as I go.

Still started...
