Re: Advice On Mac OS update from 10.15.7 --- or not
Short answer - I'm not pretending to adress everything here - Get your backups and disk images sorted, if you haven't already. If you have a disk image of your current bootdisk, then you can safely...

As I've said many times; I think this comes up when I have more than plain text in my post. Copied links and stuff. Whenever I get this error, I copy the text, paste it into a very simple editor, I...

Re: First experience with NVMe M.2 in enclosure - bad.
Thank you, Darryl.
I have a
OWC Envoy Express (https://www.proshop.no/Harddisk-Tilbehoer/OWC-Envoy-Express/2928716)
on order.
I'll just see how that works out.

Re: First experience with NVMe M.2 in enclosure - bad.
About the
Echo Dual NVMe Thunderbolt Dock
Price isn't bad, $349, but it's a bit overkill for my purposes.
But I also would like to know; is it noisy?
If it is, then it's definitely out. I love...

Re: First experience with NVMe M.2 in enclosure - bad.
Thanks, Darryl.
One question: don't you think that my experience with the drive ejecting and becoming unusable until refomated is due to something else than overheating?
Just thought I'd ask.

Re: First experience with NVMe M.2 in enclosure - bad.
I'm talking about true Thunderbolt 3 enclosure. Some say they're 'Thunderbolt 3 compatible' but they are limited in speed. Price difference is also very noticeable.
Speed difference is up to 4:1 in...

I don't want to add even more confusion, but it must be added that:
A perpetual plan, which is what the OP has, it feels lika a subscription when you have to pay annually to stay updated.
And @ OP,...

Re: First experience with NVMe M.2 in enclosure - bad.
Another thing; the way this Orico enclosure fails, I think of those poor people who will use it and add data to it much more slowly than I did. They will not see the problem until maybe months later,...

Re: RME Babyface vs Babyface pro FS
I changed my mind; It sounds pretty awesome!
More detailed, open, even "3D"ish. Wonderful highs.
And a improvement at low level listening; fuller at low level.
My Focusrite was good.
This is a...

First experience with NVMe M.2 in enclosure - bad.
I thought I'd try to give my little M1 Mini a little 'upgrade' by adding a really fast external 2TB drive to complement the internal 512BG. It would replace the 2TB 2.5" in USB-C enclosure that I...

Re: Entry level Mac studio good enough
You could save a lot of bucks and buy a 16GB M1, Mini, Macbook, or imac because they have plenty of punch to run sessions like that, and with a lot of plugins. The RAM limitation only comes into play...

Re: RME Babyface vs Babyface pro FS
But there'a $500 difference, and my question is, is the newer model that much better; or, is the old model not so good. Keep in mind, I'm talking conversion/output sound quality only.
