ok one more thing to add... when I have the search function "by name" on looking in the bin thing is when I get the error, when i turn it off the error is gone.

this was just plaguing me for hours now. I reinstalled, repaired permissions, and deleted databases which didnt work, my final solution was to unclick spot as region in soundminer and to clear all...

Oh and sorry yes peaks at around -4. Dialog does sit pretty high up there as well. And I have only had to use lkfs on tv shows so I haven't specifically listened to a -24 lkfs mix on a dubstage so...

personally yes -24lkfs is too quiet at 85.
Like I said we all have our own opinions.
the sound should be as big as the picture. (in my opinion)

They would turn a TV mix up most likely, -10 or even worse -24 lkfs is awfully quiet in a theater. Ask The TFF for their specs so you dont get burned. Play your mix on an 85 calibrated stage and...

Yep works like a charm. I use that way while mixing and use an ADS pyro for fullscreen via firewire playback. Ur sync should be right on using the dvi port but if there's any lag just eyeball it...

Set your new session to 24.
Then import your stems and click the pull up/down box upon import that says 25 to 24 fps
Pro tools makes the time adjustment for you

If I'm not mistaken +/- 2 refers to final readout of infinite term so no louder than -22 and no quiter than -26. I had a spot in this years superbowl that fox required a -24 for and it played well...

Never mind...i had a 2 min piece in glee at-24 as well... At least2-3 db (lkfs?) lower than the program and following commercial. Bummer, at least the superbowl spot came out clean.

Cool, everything came out perfect . -24LKFS came out just perfect! All the commercials came out pretty much even and glee Started off even level with the superbowl
