I have had similar problems with the mbox on my g3 800 iBook since installing LE 6.0. I downloaded the ableton live 3.0 demo last week and I'm floored by it's performance and stability......

This just reinforces my decision to go back to os9 on my G3 800 ibook. Protools never ran reliably for me under osX, and now Digi has stopped supporting many of their customers.

I would mix the vocals to track before mastering. This will make the track sound more cohesive. Try both options and go with the version that sounds best to you.

Don't buy BX5's without listening to Event TR5's. I found the Events to be far less colored. They also have much better frequency response.
