My iMac serves as my only desktop, I use it for everyday things as well as recording.

I would like to jump from OS 10.8.5 Mountain Lion, to the new OS. (el Capitan or whatever they call it).

Crap. I cleaned the power harness, at least at the entry part.

Further investigation leads me in a different direction.

After cleaning, still behaved the same. Checked cables.

I've had an 002R for years, and have used it with OWC FW drives, connected properly, iMac-FW drive- 002R.

Recently, I can't get the drive to mount when the 002 is connected and turned on....

Yep, sounds like the tracks might be grouped only in Mix and not Edit, also. I think that if you are in the edit window and reveal the Groups list, you will be able to check it out-

The 002 has worked with iTunes since I've had the problem, and I've had the power harness issue (like chicken pox) so I think I'm ok there.
