Rich, in the task manager the CPU is steady at 6% and the disk is 0% so it doesn't look as if if it just taking a long time because of the file length if that was what you were thinking, cheers

Thanks Ben, I am almost doing the same as you I think except I first save everything in save as copy then do the cutting up, deleting and consolidate.

When I use save copy as with audio files checked everything appears to work, the progress bars take a few minutes, the new folder has the ptx file plus the audio files which are quite large, around...

Try changing the sample rate in the control panel to 48k before you open the project. I had this problem when opening a project recorded at 96k. It should really change the sample rate automatically...

I've been looking at the Mellowmuse plugin which gets around the problem, but if plug-in delay compensation is the next fix away I'll wait.
