Pro Tools Delayed Playback w/ Video and Out of Sync

Hi,

I'm experiencing a 1-3 second delay when I hit play and have my video file online. The video file is a 2.9gb, 85 minutes long mp4 (H264). The video is being displayed on a Dell S2340M monitor....

Okay, I think I know what the problem is;

As usual when it was all working, I have my computer connected to the Mbox2 Pro via firewire but NOT with the AC adapter. This never yielded a problem...

Just got me a Mac Pro (original) and for the life of me couldn't get passed the 6085 error! I wonder if there's been an ongoing problem with the Firewire ports on...

The offset for MXF files is set to 18qf. For QT video the setting is 4 frames.
