Re: Trying now to get PT9 stable with UAD2 quad

@ GKinTN
Remember me? I was having UAD issues too. I traced mine down to a single plugin. The FREE PULTEQ eq that came with the card was the issue on mine. As soon as I removed all instances of that...

Re: question about tracking bands with pro tools 9

no I do not have any issues. I just kick the buffer back down from my mix buffer of 512 to my record buffer of 256. Even with heavy delay comp for UAD plugs and 70 or so others. I have no issues (as...

Re: question about tracking bands with pro tools 9

1. Yes. I have tracked 4 bands in the studio and 5 bands live since getting it in november.

2. For the studio sessions I am tracking at 256 with a fair amount of plugs 20-70 with no lag or...

Re: PT9 and MP3 Encoding question

Actually from what I have seen it does have a more expanded functionality than PT 8.X.X. Not as much as the one in SONAR, but quite a bit better than before. Especially for a free option.

Re: StudioLive working with ProTools9

@CME
I'm just up the road in OKC if you want to come by and see practical routing in the studio. It actually makes one hell of a studio interface.

Re: StudioLive working with ProTools9

No. Unfortunately it does not. It does everything except for buttering your toast and acting as a control surface...Unless of course you are routing from pro tools to analogue gear. :D

Re: StudioLive working with ProTools9

With the StudioLive, you can send the mix With effect to the band real time for monitoring purposes and send a NO EFFECT stream to the computer simultaniously. It is really quite handy with vocalists...

Re: interface

I'm a presonus guy and have been for a long time. You could step into a Presonus 2626 for 5-700.

Re: StudioLive working with ProTools9

Man I love running PT9 with my studiolive. It's just a killer set up. I have a second studiolive on the way so I can start doing 32 channel work.

Re: Annoying "Save" Error

@MrJoshua.

So am I to assume that 8 works with UAD2 No problem? If so, I'm starting to think that it is the ADC in 9 that is not playing nice with UAD.

Re: Annoying "Save" Error

I'm not running any of the BF plugs just Waves and UAD. The WAVES is running like a champ...all the UAD plugs keep locking me up.

Re: UAD 2 plugins in PT9

Once you get the RTAS versions in there. Do a load test and see what happens....If you could stack heavy on the 1176 and throw some of the precision series in there.

Re: Annoying "Save" Error

That's what I'm thinking...the waiting part...not the mac part. The bad part is that I use the UAD stuff to master.

Re: interface

My personal opinion is DON'T get it from that website.

Try this instead.

Reasons.
1. Cheaper (exact same Item)
2. Free Shipping (3-5 days...

Re: UAD 2 plugins in PT9

http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=289211

It started off as a Save Error, but through elimination, we have it narrowed down to the UAD plugins.

Re: Annoying "Save" Error

Well keep posting on this thread with updates. I'm anxious to hear their response cause right now I have a 1500 dollar card in my computer that cannot work with my DAW.

Re: Annoying "Save" Error

Yeah I've got 8.5 too. I'm thinking it might be the 1176 and pultec. That seems to be the common feature in our sessions. if it wasnt for sidechaining Waves Vocal Rider being impossible in sonar, I...

Re: WUP sucks!!

Got to agree there. The time and effort it takes to ensure that internal plug coding is compatible with all the different DAWs and setups is worth paying for the update in tech. And yes Waves does...

Re: Annoying "Save" Error

If I may ask, Which UAD plugs were on your session, and how big of a session was it?
