Did you try adding dithers as the first inserts per channel to make sure it's not denomalizing?

Yeah... OP please screenshot each tab in CPUz so we can get a better look at it. As for the Memory tap there is a way to show you each memory sticks capability.. try to post those pictures too.

For vocals I use Melodyne Studio :-) it seems way easier and sounds great for me... just pop it on Rewire for all the Tracks.. send it to th melodyne session... Correct pitch and timing... then...

As far as NEEDing Pre's... I use either an Electro-Voice RE-20 on thin vocalists or an AKG 414 on good vocalists.
