Re: Using a computer monitor for video?

Great idea Frank, thanks.

Great info reichman. Unpredictable sync isn't an option.

Re: Using a computer monitor for video?

Thanks. I’m aware of the pro options, but the clarification is appreciated. It’s the semi-pro option I was wondering about, as it’s been a long time since I’ve tried to work that way. Your Syncheck...

Re: Using a computer monitor for video?

Thanks for the feedback, and for the pic Wizzoboy.

That’s exactly what I plan on doing. Having the option for the extended desktop is the best of both worlds.

Instead of asking my...

Using a computer monitor for video?

I'm setting up a home mix rig using a 2011 iMac (I know, but it was the top of the line and it's been incredible). I've been looking for a "real" video output solution. I found a Sonnet Echo Express...

Re: Have you seen this Clip Gain bug?

Sorry - yes, it's one SAMPLE, not a frame.

Thanks for checking on Windows. Interesting info about the Ticks setting. I can confirm the same behavior in Yosemite.

Have you seen this Trim Automation bug?

With every PT HD update I check to see if this bug is fixed as I've been dealing with it since Pro Tools 9. Here's the scenario:

You have a Trim plug-in automated and make some changes in level....

Have you seen this Clip Gain bug?

With every PT HD update I check to see if this bug is fixed as I've been dealing with it for years. Here's the scenario (I work in Post, so I run into this after importing OMFs or AAFs):

If...

Re: Avid S6 v3.5 software release

Same here, nor is there 3.5 software in our product list (we have 2.1 and 2.2). Our S6s were bought and registered less than a year ago. Guess we'll have to call CS.

Will the sticker set that was...

Re: QC software for Quicktime files?

Thanks nucelar, appreciated. I'll take a look at this.

So far we're impressed with Switch. The only thing that's weird is it plays back stereo ProRes files as dual mono (panned center). Not great...

QC software for Quicktime files?

We have to deliver Quicktime files of various codecs with picture and multiple audio stems baked-in (to be extracted later by someone downstream).

I'm starting to research a QC solution for our...

Re: Problems with Superior Drummer 2.3.2

I never had that specific problem, but I'll update mine:

I did A LOT of testing, and emailed back and forth with Toontrack. I've come to the conclusion that I'm just taxing the computer too much....

Re: Problems with Superior Drummer 2.3.2

I'm a little late to this party, but I've been having the same sort of problem. I'm using a 2.7 GHz iMac i7 w/16 GB of RAM. I have Pro Tools 11 and Superior 2.3.2, and my kit has a mix of the Avatar...

Re: Import Session Data offset (bug?)

Re: Using Media Composer to make PT/Mojo MXFs

Just a follow-up for anyone who has the same question.

There is no option to create an SD project as NTSC 29.97. Apparently, for a reason I can't understand, you select NTSC 30i.

After that,...

Re: Using Media Composer to make PT/Mojo MXFs

That makes sense. It seemed like I had no choice but to create new projects as HD.

Thanks guys, I'll try that.

Re: Using Media Composer to make PT/Mojo MXFs
