Re: D Control Osx Catalina and new Mac Pro

This isn't really a Mac issue. This is a PT issue. There has never been a requirement that you install drivers for the D-Control. You could not use it except in PT anyway. It is a simple Network...

Re: 911! Anyone know the power supply for D Command?

To me, it just makes sense to spend the $100 on the whole new supply. I'm a producer not an electrician. Not going to spend what I spent on this board and then try to be Mr. Fix it while a client...

Re: D-Control LED problem

This is a LED power supply issue. The Logic Board, faders and LED's all have separate power supplies. This is a known issue for D-Control users. There are documented solutions here on the forum...

Hooray Jeff. Darryl will be tickled pink.

As soon as that's done, everyone can go back to using the same password they use at their bank. LOL . https saved us again!

Re: Avid DUC not secure?

Darryl, you care! Great! I don’t! It’s simple. Nothing http or https has helped or hindered any of the work we do in PT or in the industry. AVID has never had a breach anywhere. The possibility...

Re: Avid DUC not secure?

Darryl, if you feel so strongly why not offer to pay to move it to https for Avid. Put your money where your mouth is. Oh, not that important anymore right! :D:D:D It doesn't matter to me either...

Re: Avid DUC not secure?

Still no one has posted the justification other than a nice to have. Its a forum that google scrapes nightly to so all comments are public. Someone explain what you are asking to be protected here?...

Re: Avid DUC not secure?

Those “Secure” symbols don’t guarantee a website is safe from all threats. A phishing site, for example, can legitimately display that comforting green lock next to its https address.

Phishers...

Re: D-Command to D-Control

I have a D-Control and its been basically worry free for years. I've had no faders or meters go bad. I have had my LED PSU go out in one fader pack. So I bought new PSU's for all units and...

Any entry into a browser is the responsibility of the user (credit card info, home address, dob, SSN, etc.). We've gotten so lazy these days that we want to be placated at every site we go to. Own...

Re: Where can i buy a Power Supply for my D-Command ?

I don't need a solder gun when I have a budget. Expense it and be done. :-) It wasn't cheap getting in this game or buying the console(s) we have. So having a plan when the MTBF is reached is just...

Re: Where can i buy a Power Supply for my D-Command ?

I beg to differ. If you spend good money for these consoles, why go cheap, and turn into Mr. Fixit, when they need repairs. Who has time in the middle of a mix to solder a capacitor? And which is...

Re: No sound on xmon main out

As I am sure you realize by now, the MAIN outputs are wired for surround sound. So if you are using a normal AVID DB25 to DB25 cable, you would use channels 1 and 5 in to get the sound from XMON and...

Re: D-Control w/Pro Tools native?

The D-control is software specific more than hardware specific. If you are using a HD Native rig and have Pro Tools HD, your software will see and utilize the D-Control (its an ethernet based...

Re: D-Control and Command with 2018.12

I'm also NOT having any issues with my D-control. I'm on 2018.10 though (Mac). Had no need to upgrade to 2018.12.

Re: Tracks not showing up in D control

If it says D-Control on the two channel it means the board is offline mode. First, you must have a main console section of the D-Control to use the D-Control control surface. The Fader units cannot...
