New MB Pro Function Keys Not Working in ProTools

Function keys shortcuts (and Command+Record) in Protools are locked to Mac OS Ventura

Seems like an easy fix, but be f'd if I can find it.

Went to Settings > Keyboard etc to no avail

Current studio is Dante-focussed, via Rednet 32R and Rednet 2.

What's a good plug-in for metering? I'm old school and would prefer to still use a 2-bus console meter, but it is what it is.

Was OK on 64bit, now no output.

Happily going about daily sessions until today, whereby suddenly have a clocking issue and no output, using MBox2...hey, it's been a great at-home second system!

Go to your session folder and open your 'Session File Backups.'

View by 'date modified' and open the latest version. Hopefully it won't be too far off where you finished.

Blown MBox2?

Hey there,

Yesterday, all good.

Today, MBox2 refuses to light up and be recognized.

Have done a System Restore in case MS updated something nasty.

Re-installed all software.

OK - so this is strictly an mp3 thing.

All the audio I use (transferred via an ftp server) is 320 or 256k mp3.

Last night I dragged wav & aiff into a session. No problem. As soon as I dragged...

Now re-installed Vista....problems still present.

System is now officially useless: cannot create or save new sessions, nor import audio into existing sessions without this error.

Really doing my head in, honestly.

All existing sessions will play, no problem. It's only when new audio is added that problems occur, this message appearing:

Could not save "session name"...

Checked and re-checked everything and suspect it's now a dodgy drive.

I've installed an older Ultra ATA Seagate in place of the WD Caviar and it, for the moment anyway, seems fine.

I'd go back to more basic things like trashing the Digidesign Database file that resides on your audio drive, along with the other prefs.

First up, make sure the metronome icon is highlighted in your transport window.

Secondly, after creating the click track (Track > Create Click Track) click on the insert to select your click sound...
