digidesign 192 digital and digidesign pre connection help
 
Hi,

Is there anyway i can connect my digidesign 192 digital to my pre digidesign 8 chanel??? Is there any special cables for the connection??? so that i can record without having to buy another analog interface. Please let me know if you have a cable i would like to buy. or email me...

The Pre is strictly analog. If you don't have an A/D converter, you can't use the 192 Digital.

Sorry Ben. top jimmy summed it up. You must have an a/d interface. I have a pre. It is a fairly good unit and integrates well with PT of course. SB

If you do sell it, you can get more than enough to buy a Presonus Digimax fs. As long as you are happy at 48k (most are), then you get 8 decent pre's that should work nicely with your 192. (assuming that the 192 digital has the same ADAT capabilities that the 192i/o has.) And 8 analog out... SB
