Off topic but I thought this is the best place...

I LOVE PT9! Sitting on the couch, fooling around mixing 22 tracks on my MacBook Pro 13" RULES!

Check out my new mix "I Just Wanna Feel" at www.myspace.com/sonicstudios

Probably one of the last few things I'll mix before I go off to school to really learn how to do this!

I think that mix sounds very good. It sounds balanced to me but I listened on my macbook so no lows, but it sounded balanced and I could hear all the important elements. Well done, have fun at school1

Yes...he plays on 5 of the tracks. And Sean Michael Clegg and Scott Synder of Accomplice are on every track.

He drummed for me in a band for a while some years ago, (back in my live band days), while he was also in Accomplice. Small world. Great guy.

Pretty happy to post this link. A band from Moscow found me on Reverbnation a few months back. Not sure of the email legitimacy factor I asked to have them email me directly with the inquiry. Well 2 days later it arrived and I was receiving the files shortly after to mix a 10 song record. Well with a newborn and all it has been tough, not to mention the language barrier, but having a good time. The last song I was able to mix to a video and though the released song is longer, the video cuts the ending, but in a pretty discreet way. Turns out it is now getting air time over there too so that is even cooler. Really happy how this song turned out and the video is pretty slick too!

Check it out when you can!

The entire song is on my studio pages player too!

Good fun and 6 more songs to mix

Hey all,

I wanted to share something I created the other day and would love some suggestions/comments on it. Bare in mind I'm not a musician, nor composer nor arranger. I'm having this gear as a hobby (a bit out-of-control though) and love to be creative. Under the XMas tree there was this new plug Damage of NI and I love it. It got me inspired to create this. Actually it is the very first thing I ever created right out of my mind and soul. (all previous stuff I did was cover work). So please feel free to comment even if you think it's worthless, I want to learn and grow. I know you all are pro's and it is nothing compared to what you do but it made me kinda proud to pull this off without having any musical backgroud or education for that matter.

Thanks in advance for the heads-up.

Hey guys! I've been MIA from the DUC for a bit because my label just signed a new artist that you absolutely MUST hear. Her name is Lila Rose and she has a debut album coming out January 10th.

If you like Imogen Heap, Florence + The Machine, Emiliana Torrini or Fever Ray (or anything in that genre), you're gonna love this.

You can check out her website and download a teaser track, 'Obsession', at:

http://www.lilarosemusic.com/

I'm eyeball deep in promoting this right now and, if you have suggestions for anyone that should hear this, please shoot me a message at: comments [at] rtfmrecords [dot] com. We're always looking to expand our network.

Thanks for listening - you won't be disappointed!

You had me. I went to the web site and was wowed until I looked closer. She looks to much like Lady GAGA and when I went to look at your pics in the right hand side column, it looked as though these pics were of some one at a Karaoke contest (I know it's not....but). The pics were of really bad quality. Whoever did the web site should have told you about this. I felt as though I was being scammed, so I didn't down load. Like I said, the site was beautiful until you looked behind the curtain. Make sure you have pics that represent your client in a good light.

Also the pics and the female on your web site look nothing alike. Help me out please. I want to download. Give me a better reason.

I'm trying to get a part for 002 rack, but can't find a way to contact Avid to get the damn part. Spent 30 hours already trying to contact them. But all I see is ASC codes.

My firewire light on 002 rack won't light up anymore, therefore there is a problem with 002 Rack firewire, internal issue. I read there is a part that Avid will send you, but I have no way to contact them.

I just recorded and mixed this over the weekend... used Virtual Instruments for all the music such as Vacuum/XPand2, waves guitar3 for the guitar, a JBL RTA mic for vocals and a cheap M-Audio fastrack preamp (my small portable rig). I played and sang everything you hear including all the background vocals.

Hey that's pretty good :-) Only thing, do you have any bass traps in your studios? I think your over compensating for the bass, as when I listen to the song, there a lack of low in the kick, toms and the bass guitar. I've listened it on 4 different system and it's the same everywhere.

Overall though, I like it very much :-)

Thanks Emcha_audio. When I listen in the studio I always think I've got way to much bass. I take it this must be down to the fact I ain't got any bass traps. If I purchase some of these will I find it improves my mixes a lot

Once again thanks for listening
